Report something here

1. Sign in. Reports come from signed-in readers, so one person can't flood them.
2. Press Report under the post or comment.
3. Pick what's wrong, add a note for the moderator if it helps, and send.

Private information, a child at risk, or a threat disappears the moment you send the report, until a moderator checks it. If you report that someone may be at risk of harming themselves, we show you Lifeline's number straight away. How reports and moderation work.

Report to the authorities

• Child sexual abuse, grooming or sextortion: the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation, as well as to us.
• Serious online abuse, or illegal and restricted content: the eSafety Commissioner, Australia's online safety regulator. You can report before or after telling us, and reports of illegal content can be anonymous.
• Intimate images shared, or threatened, without consent: eSafety's image-based abuse report.
• A crime, in confidence: Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Keep a record first: screenshots with the date, the username and the link. eSafety shows how to collect evidence.

Being targeted?

Don't reply; it rarely stops it. Report it, keep the record, and talk to someone. If a site won't act on serious abuse aimed at an adult, eSafety's adult cyber abuse scheme can order it removed. If you're threatened or feel unsafe, go to police.
